Emmy-winning engineer, Paul Bevan is one of New York’s busiest and most in-demand Sound Engineers, Production and Tour Managers, working on a wide variety of major corporate, special event, orchestral and music projects, including:


Hall & Oates, Boston Pops, World Economic Forum, NBC Today Show Summer Concert Series, US Open Tennis Finals, Lord of the Rings live to Projection, Re-dedication of Grand Central Terminal, and many other prestigious events.


He has mixed:

Prince, Billy Joel, Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Seal, James Taylor, Yo Yo Ma, Sting, Tony Bennett, Lang Lang, and countless orchestras throughout the world.


Paul began his career as the Head of Technical Services at the University of Bradford in the north of England, before accepting the post of Technical Director at the Leadmill Arts Center - a progressive performance space in Sheffield and the role model for many similar alternative arts centers throughout the UK.


Paul was the house sound engineer at the legendary Marquee Club in London, later beginning a freelance career as a Tour Manager, Production Manager, Stage Manager and Sound Engineer, for a variety of bands and sound companies.


Moving to New York City in 1994, Paul has expanded his repertoire to include a variety of high-end corporate and awards shows, and is particularly known for his work in the tasteful amplification of orchestras.


He has been featured in a number of articles in trade magazines, including ProSound News and FOH Magazine for his work with the Boston Pops, Lord of the Rings, Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton, NBC Today Show and the Yahoo Internet Awards


In 2016, his work in mixing the Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton TV show for the PBS series Live From Lincoln Center was recognized by the Cinema Audio Society, as the winner of the Excellence in Sound Mixing award, in the category 'TELEVISION NON-FICTION, VARIETY or MUSIC SERIES or SPECIALS', beating out shows featuring Keith RIchards, Kurt Cobain and Anthony Bourdain.  This was followed by an Emmy win in the category 'OUTSTANDING SOUND MIXING FOR A VARIETY SERIES OR SPECIAL' for the same program, up against the Oscars, The Voice, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Grease: Live.
