Glamour Magazine Women of the Year Awards

“Each autumn, Glamour Magazine organizes the “Glamour Women of the Year Awards” which recognize women in the public eye. Held at the the most sought after venue in New York - the acoustically challenging Carnegie Hall, I have mixed the show for the past 4 years. Honorees and presenters have included Cher, Julia Roberts, Fergie, Oprah Winfrey, Chelsea Clinton, Queen Noor and five other female Presidents and Prime Ministers.

After several previous difficult years due to badly produced videos, out-of-control musical acts, poor choice of microphones, etc. I assumed control of all elements of audio, including attending mix sessions for the tribute videos, to assure that consistency in levels and eq between clips was maintained.”

                Matrix Awards

“Every year  New York Women in Communication present awards to eight exceptional women for  their outstanding achievements in advertising, arts & entertainment, books, broadcasting, magazines, newspapers, public relations and new media. Over 1200 people gather in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria to salute these women and I have mixed this event for the past 10 years..

Each woman is presented with the prestigious Matrix Award, joining past recipients such as Meryl Streep, Christian Amanpour, Amy Tan, Toni Morrison, Barbara Walters and Annie Liebovitz.

Proceeds from the luncheon are used to develop and maintain a full calendar of affordable programs and special events, educational opportunities, networking and support systems for the organization's members and the community at large, and for scholarships.”
